  • Do you provide alcohol?

    Nope, we are BYOB. So you supply the booze and we serve!

  • Can you set up anywhere?

    Yes! All we need is solid, leveled ground. We can even set up indoors, as long as the venue has a service doorway at least 6 feet wide x 8 feet tall.

    We can set up our modular bar stations anywhere you want!

  • Do you travel outside of Calgary?

    Yes! Anywhere you want to celebrate outside of Calgary can be arranged for an additional travel charge ($1/km, round trip for our trailer and $.80/km for our bar stations).

  • How much time is needed to set up?

    This will depend on you and your event. Generally, we only need 1-1.5 hours before the start of serving. However, if you or your venue requires us to set–up earlier, please let us know a month before your event.

  • Can I rent Side Bar Trailer but provide my own bartenders?

    Most definitely! See our Rental package.

  • How much alcohol should I buy?

    Once you have booked us we can start planning your drink list, yay! We will provide you with a list based on your number of guests and length and service.

  • Do you serve non-alcoholic drinks?

    Absolutely! We pride ourselves on providing a fully inclusive and refreshing beverage service. We want to provide you and your guests with a WOW experience regardless of the alcohol content.

  • Do I need a liquor license to hire you?

    You will! if you’re hosting your event at a rented venue you will need a a Special Event License from AGLC. Pretty easy to get.

    If your event is taking place at a private property that you own or a friend’s house, you definitely don’t need any license.

  • Do you need access to power or water?

    Power, yes please! One standard 120V outlet.

    We will bring drinkable water with us! However, if there is water available on site then amazing!

  • Are you insured?

    Oh yea! We carry general liability insurance

  • What is your payment & refund policy?

    We require a first payment of the 30% of your total to lock your date, this is non refundable. The remaining balance will be due 1 month prior to your event. Cancellations made within 1 month of your event will not be refunded.

  • How far in advance do we need to book you?

    If you’re considering booking us for your day, we suggest getting in touch with us ASAP. Popular dates don’t last long!

  • Can I have a toonie/cash/open bar?

    Yes of course you can! We will pass all cash collected to you at the end of the night or if you’d prefer an e-transfer once everything has been counted, we can also do that.

    Our bartenders will keep all tips that were earned.

  • Can guests serve themselves?

    Based on ALGC Regulations if we are operating the bar a ProServe certified server must pour all drinks. However, Side Bar can be dropped off for self serve, and since you’re buying and providing the liquor it’s like hosting your own party!

    P.S. Based on your venue/event space you will need a a Special Event Licence from AGLC.

  • How many different beers can we have?

    We can serve 4 different drinks on tap simultaneously! You can find pretty much anything in kegs now!
